Our idea was to create a roughly 2 min long repeatable film featuring strong visual images of mark millar’s work which we would then animate with a parallax effect finding themes between the images. I felt like this was a strong idea and also appropriate considering how little time we would have together as a team.
We put together a rough schedule so we could see how much time realistically we could spend on each area. A large amount of time was put aside to edit as photoshopping each image individually would take a considerable amount of time.
We started off by selecting images from a number of his comics which we felt were visually strong and could be edited in different ways. After narrowing down our selection we began to look for themes between the images and how we could edit them.
I put together a rough storyboard/shot list and wrote a brief description of how I intended to alter the images. This was extremely useful as a reference and a check list.
Location
Our location was ruskins bar, Kendal. There were a number of spaces available there and we decided upon a large blank wall at the far end of the second room. We felt it was a clear space that wasn’t obstructing but not hidden away either.
