In an interview with ‘The Telegraph’ Mark talks about how he takes ‘losers’ or characters that have a weakness and turns them into heroes.

It seems to be a fundamental aspect of what makes a super hero comic work and as Mark states the majority of superheroes from mid sixties to the 20th century follow this pattern, mentioning characters such as, batman, spiderman and ironman. Taking somebody less than average and giving them a chance for transformation he believes is the secret to why so much of his work has gone big. Quoting  Stan Lee saying “The old rules of giving a character a weakness so readers can identify with them”.

I feel like this principle will be key in determining our target audience and how to reach them.
